If your Ledger Live app keeps crashing on startup, follow these steps to resolve the issue. The solution varies based on your operating system.

Step 1: Check Your OS and Update (Mac/Linux)

First, ensure your operating system is supported. Ledger Live is not supported on outdated systems like macOS 10.15 or Windows 7. If you are on a supported system, update to the latest version of Ledger Live directly from the official website, as this often resolves crash issues.

Step 2: Install Missing Components (Windows)

If you are a Windows user and see a crash screen with a blue button, the issue is likely missing system files. Download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package from Microsoft's official website. This installs the necessary components for Ledger Live to run. If you see a red "Reset" button instead, simply close the app and download the latest version.

Step 3: Delete User Data (Mac/Linux)
